This is a brief description of the ministry ... Primary Focus and Activities‘Beginning Again’ has begun and will be on every Thursday 7:00pm to 9:00pm at St. Paul United Church of Christ, which will be available to the Lebanon Community and surrounding areas. We are using a program called DivorceCare, which consists of 13 videos on different topics such as: “What’s Happening To Me”, “The Road To Healing/Finding Help”, “Facing Your Anger” “What Does The Owner’s Manual Say”, “Financial Survival”, “Forgiveness”, “Moving On, Growing Closer to God”. These are just a few of the videos. The videos feature nationally recognized experts on divorce and healing topics. Each week one of the videos will be presented. At the meetings you will become part of a small group of people who are also experiencing divorce. You will have a chance to ask questions and talk about the information presented in the videos. By talking with the group you will learn that others are having some of those same feelings that you are having. DivorceCare features biblical teachings for recovering from divorce and separation. These sessions are Christ centered, and the Bible is presented as the owner’s manual. We will have special guest speakers, such as family counselors, ministers, lawyers and grief counselors. Each session is ‘self contained’. These sessions will run continually throughout the year. ‘Beginning Again’ offers opportunities for folk in all stages of divorce/separation to think through, pray through, share through and live through the changes which inevitably happen when relationships break down. Child care will be provided for those who need it, with a one week notice. There is no charge to the public.
