Don Wagner, a dairy farmer by family trade, grew up in rural Southern
Illinois. He graduated from Marissa High School, Marissa, IL, Belleville
Area College, Belleville, IL (now know as Southwestern Illinois College -
SWIC) with an Associates of Arts degree, and McKendree College here in
Lebanon, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History & Secondary Education.
Upon receiving his call to ministry from our Lord and Savior, Don attend
Eden Seminary in Webster Groves, MO. His training included student
pastoral service at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Lebanon, IL. He
became ordained in the United Church of Christ in June 1988 at the Holy
Ghost United Church of Christ, Darmstadt, IL.
Rev. Wagner's first pastoral service was at Grace United Church of
Christ, Culver, IN. He was selected by our congregation to be our
beloved pastor and teacher in 1994.
During his service with St. Paul UCC, Rev. Wagner returned to Eden
Seminary to complete his Doctorate of Ministry. |
